Terms of Use¶

By installing, accessing, or using Chat Guard ("the Bot"), you agree to these Terms of Use on behalf of yourself and the Discord server(s) you administer.

Acceptable Use¶

Operate the Bot in accordance with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
Configure moderation policies responsibly and transparently for your community
Do not use the Bot to harass, target, or unlawfully discriminate against users

License¶

The Bot is provided under Creative Commons Attribution‑NonCommercial‑ShareAlike 4.0 International with additional terms as set out in LICENSE. Commercial use requires a separate written agreement with HMD Developments, Inc.

Administrator Responsibilities¶

Ensure the Bot has appropriate permissions and a designated moderation log channel
Inform community members about automated moderation where required
Maintain current server configuration and periodically review settings

Data & Privacy¶

Data processed is limited to identifiers and configuration necessary for operation. See Privacy Policy for details on processing, retention, and requests.

Suspension & Termination¶

HMD may suspend or terminate access in the event of misuse, abuse, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Changes¶

We may update these Terms to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
